Kim-Anne Le Formal

Kim-Anne Le Formal

Olympic - Nacra 17

Kim-Anne has been sailing since she was 10 years old, mentored by her coach - Olivier Thomas. Kim’s first time on the water was on a little multihull, KL13.5, which she sailed for two years and then transitioned to the TYKA. Racing at her first French TYKA Championship in 2011, with another girl as crew, they finished 5th overall and first girl team.

In 2014, Kim-Anne switched to racing with Benjamin Amiot going on to win the F16 European Championship. She was selected to participate in the first Red Bull Foiling Generation finishing 2nd overall in the French Championships and a year later was the only girl to be selected for the second finishing a superb 4th overall. Kim-Anne has been selected for TEAM France Jeune in the Flying Phantoms – again the only women to be selected for these highly technical and super fast foiling multihulls. This young woman is passionate about anything that moves fast on water, especially foiling – her next passion is offshore racing.
