Flo Nicholls

Team rider Flo Nicholls

Laser Radial

Flo has had a strong start to 2018, including being crowned the Under 16 Laser 4.7 European Champion at Patras, Greece. This summer she will be building up to Flo's biggest challenge yet, the Laser 4.7 World Championships.

Flo enjoyed an amazing 2017 in the Laser 4.7. Aged only 13 at the start of 2017, she was one of the youngest sailors on the circuit, but managed to achieve some great results. At the start of the winter season she was selected as the youngest member of the RYA’s National Laser 4.7 Squad.

2017 Results:

Laser 4.7 Europeans – Spain: 58th Overall & 24th U16
NeilPryde Sailing U21 Laser Regatta – Lymington: 9th Overall & 4th Girl
Laser 4.7 Worlds – Belgium: 44th Overall & 17th U16
Laser 4.7 Nationals – Abersoch,UK: 8th Overall & 1st British Girl
RYA National Laser 4.7 Squad
She has been training very hard all winter and began the 2018 season finishing 1st Girl at the Winter Championship and World Championship Qualifiers.

Flo is looking forward to the Worlds in Poland, which will be her last event in a 4.7 rig before moving into the Radial. Flo has enjoyed sailing her Laser 4.7 with the combination of NeilPryde Sailing’s Women's Elite Long John with the hiking system of Hike Padz Shorts. They enable her to hike harder for longer and has proven invaluable on those windy days.
