Bio

Aled originally learned to sail in an Oppie at Saundersfoot Sailing Club. Progressing quickly, he soon took on the challenge of local and national competitions. After gaining experience and learning the ropes, he transitioned into the Topper class in 2015 and enjoyed a number of successful races, including winning the Welsh Zones 2017 and the Topper National Series 2017/2018.

Aled then transitioned into the 29er class, where he was initially partnered with fellow Team Rider, Ben Willett. They quickly achieved a number of notable results together; finishing 6th overall in the 2018-19 UK Grand Prix series and taking down the junior title. They went on to compete all over Europe, including at the Youth Worlds in Poland and the 29er Europeans in Lake Garda, Italy.

He is now paired with experienced sailor, Ben Bradley, and they are working hard to build their skills ahead of a packed competition schedule in 2020. They are set to compete both at home and internationally, with events such as the UK Grand Prix Series, Eurocup Series and 29er World Championships in the crosshairs. We are proud to supply Aled with the kit he needs to excel on the water.
