Ross was aged just 14 when he won the under 19’s National Championships in the single person Laser 4.7 dinghy in 2013. Having won most of the UK titles in the Laser 4.7 in 2014, Ross moved across to the two person 420 dinghy in September 2014 to extend his skills and experience working in a team.
Ross and his helm (Max Clapp) both just 16 were crowned U19’s Boys Youth National Champions in April 2015 and went on to win the overall National Champions title in all age groups in August. They represented team-GB in the open age group category at the 2015 world championships and achieved a 13th place and 6th place at the Under 19s European Championships.
